Fendi O' Party
Pixie Lott, the coquettish English performer, might not be a household name yet, but the scene outside this season's Fendi-hosted music night at the VIP Room nightclub in Paris was of Beatles-meets-Gaga-meets-Michael Jackson proportions: The crowd was dozens deep, spilling onto the rue de Rivoli and keeping security staff busy. Inside, the vibe was in line with nearly every other party this week in the French capital—hot, sweaty, crowded, but good-natured. Following in the footsteps of such previous headliners for the Italian company as Amy Winehouse and Beth Ditto, Lott—whose singles "Mama Do" and "Boys & Girls" have topped the UK charts—performed in a headband and bangles and bathed in purple light. Fendi's designer, Karl Lagefeld, took it all in with the likes of Prince, Sean Lennon, and Hidetoshi Nakata in a securely guarded VIP area. "I wanted to see Karl," Lily Donaldson said. "But I'm not sure if that's going to happen." Somehow, of course, the willowy Brit model found a way.
